Meet Amy
Amy Denstedt is the founder of Tailored Transitions and a lifelong resident of Waterloo Region. Growing up locally, raising her family here and volunteering within the community have given Amy a strong connection to the people, businesses and resources that make this region home.
Before launching Tailored Transitions, Amy spent more than 20 years building a career in customer service, relationship management, project coordination and supporting people through change. Her experience taught her how to listen carefully, manage countless moving pieces and, most importantly, build trust with the people she works with.
As a dedicated mom, community volunteer and small business owner, Amy brings the same values to her work that guide her personally: kindness, honesty, patience and respect. She understands that moving later in life is rarely just about belongings. It can involve family dynamics, difficult decisions, changing circumstances and a lifetime of memories.
Today, Amy combines her professional experience, local knowledge and community connections to help seniors and their families navigate those transitions with greater confidence. Through Tailored Transitions, her goal is to be more than a service provider. She wants to be a trusted local resource families know they can turn to when they aren't quite sure what comes next.

Amy regularly volunteers with Retail Therapy KW Thrift, helping photograph and list donated furniture on Facebook Marketplace so it can find a new home in the community.
That connection is a natural extension of Tailored Transitions. Whenever possible, we help clients redirect usable furniture and household goods to local organizations, giving belongings a second life while supporting our community.
